Comprehensive avionics modernization capabilities
Among DAHER’s specialties is avionics and systems modernization, with turn-key capabilities from feasibility studies and project management to installation, flight testing, certification, acceptance and delivery.
As part of this expertise, DAHER has been a pioneer in the installation of Garmin G1000 all-glass integrated flight deck on aircraft – including its own TBM 700, for which the company handled avionics renovation and associated upgrade services on the French Armed Forces’ fleet.
Included in this package was the supply and installation of a full Garmin G1000 avionics suite, replacing systems that included electro-mechanical instruments on certain older aircraft: with the modernization meeting civilian airworthiness standards and certified by the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA). The French military contract also included flight data recorder installation, weather radar replacement and stormscope integration, upgrade of passenger cabin outfitting and training of pilots and engineers on the new avionics systems.
With this well-tailored offer, DAHER meets all requirements and needs – matching your investment.
DAHER also modernized the company-built TB 20 Trinidad light aircraft operated for training purposes by France’s ENAC national aviation school, with this program involving the installation of a Garmin G500 integrated avionics suite, new communication-navigation systems, a digital autopilot and numerous additional options.
Avionics upgrades were performed by the company on Embraer Xingu transport aircraft utilized by the French armed forces for liaison duties and pilot training. Key elements of the installation included a Sagem Avionics suite.
Other examples of DAHER projects are the avionics upgrades of French Air Force and French Customs Eurocopter Fennec helicopters, along with avionics modernization for French Air Force de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter special forces aircraft.
To date, DAHER-SOCATA has successfully performed avionics modernization on more than 160 aircraft.
